About Me

Even as I write a bit about myself, I must begin by saying I don't want this blog to be about me, but to point to the One who has created me, and given me life abundantly.

I am a sinner saved by the grace of God, a traveler wearied by much stumbling, a pilgrim looking ahead with expectant hope, and a dreamer content in the marvelous reality of a future secured by the Author of history.

As a 19-year-old homeschool graduate, I'm looking forward to what God has planned for this new chapter in my journey. God has graciously blessed me with parents, teachers, and mentors who have encouraged me in the Word and to develop a Christian worldview.

I am a lover of beauty, in things old and new. I love the smell of a well-loved book, the feel of a warm mug of tea in my hand, and the sound of rain on the windowpane. I love the smell and sound of the sea, and the warm silence of the woods. I am not an artist, but I love to create, whether it's with paint, photography, words, or clay. I love music of [almost] all kinds, and I've played piano for 10 years.

I love to organize, but about half of my things are in a general state of disarray most of the time. I love school, but I frequently procrastinate. I love to travel, explore, create, dream, and enjoy creation. I like to sing while I do laundry, and someday I'm going to finish last year's scrapbook. I'm never bored. Life is too short, too beautiful, and too valuable for that. God is too great, too wonderful, and too infinite. I have a thousand ways in which I fall short, and in which I need to grow, but I know my God is faithful to complete His work. May it be that my life, and these writings, would bring glory to Him.
